21st Annual People’s Law School

Saturday, February 21, 2015

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, the 20th Annual People’s Law School will be held at St. Mary’s University School of Law. Free and open to the public, the seminar is designed to provide basic legal concepts on three primary topics or “Tracks”: Elder, Family and Business Law.

Participants may sign up for the track that is most relevant to them and attend up to four 45-minute classes on those topics, which are taught by local attorneys. For example, the Elder Law track will include: “Wills, Living Wills and Powers of Attorney,” “Consumer Law” and “Medicaid” and “Social Security & SSI.”

Sponsored by the San Antonio Bar Foundation (SABF) in conjunction with St. Mary’s University School of Law, the People’s Law School allows participants to ask questions and speak personally with the instructors.

St. Mary’s University School of Law is located at the intersection of Culebra and 36th Street and participants are asked to enter from the NW 36th Street entrance. Like the seminar, parking is free. Light refreshments will be available.

The mission of the SABF is to enhance the rule of law and the system of justice in Bexar and surrounding counties by soliciting contributions and providing funding and facilities for programs that relate to ethics in the legal profession, the administration of justice, legal assistance for the indigent, and legal scholarship and publications.

If you would like to receive fliers and/or additional information, please contact Jimmy Allison at jimmya@sabar.org or 210.227.8822.
