3rd Annual SABA Juvenile Law

The San Antonio Bar Association is pleased to announce its third annual Juvenile Law CLE, scheduled for October 17, 2014. The seminar, chaired by 386th District Court Judge Parker, will take place in the Central Jury Room of the Cadena-Reeves Justice Center (300 Dolorosa). Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the seminar will get started at 9 a.m.
The course will cover topics spanning a wide range of practice skills, including: Juvenile Law Basics and Ethical Considerations for the New or Infrequent Juvenile Practitioner, Police Interactions with Juveniles, Adjudication Hearings, School Law-Ethical Considerations, Immigration Law and Ethical Considerations when Representing Non-Citizen Minors, Sealing of Records-Ethical Duty to Clients, Preparing Your Case-Meeting and Dealing with Probation, Disposition Hearings and TJJD Programs.
The course has been approved for 6.0 participatory hours (including 2.0 hours of ethics) of CLE credit by the State Bar of Texas. TJJD approval for 6.0 hours of CEU credits is pending. Credit for attendance may be utilized toward misdemeanor/felony appointments (6.0 hours criminal), as well as toward continuing legal education requirements for the certification and recertification of attorneys in Juvenile Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
