About the Foundation

The San Antonio Bar Foundation was formed in July 1984 to promote justice through educational and charitable activities. The Foundation has evolved into a dynamic organization with more than 600 Fellows committed to our community.

The Fellows Program

The Fellows are a group of friends who serve as patrons of the charitable heart of the legal community. Their financial support makes a difference in expanding civics education, filling the gap for access to justice and supports the pipeline for future leaders in the San Antonio legal family.

Our Mission

Over the years the Foundation has enriched the lives of children, the elderly and the poor through a variety of programs designed to promote justice for all. In particular, it has supported the Community Justice Program, People’s Law School, the Amigos in Mediation (AIM) Program and other pro bono projects.

Our Current Impact

In 2015, the Foundation donated more than $65,000 in charitable gifts to worthy programs and organizations. Proceeds from the 2015 SABA Installation Gala and Annual Foundation 5K Fun Run and Junior Jog for Justice supported efforts by the Community Justice Program and Amigos in Mediation (AIM) Program.
